We do not collect any personal data. Your data stays on your device and in your own device backup. A few features use the system's map service or, on iPhone and only if you choose it, the Diyanet endpoint; see below.
Pray Buddy is built with privacy at its core. We do not collect:
The following data is stored locally on your device (iOS UserDefaults, Android app storage) and is never transmitted by us:
The system's device backup may include this data: on iPhone the iCloud or computer backup, on Android the automatic backup to your Google account, which restores settings and prayer history after a reinstall. You control both in the system settings.
Pray Buddy uses your device's location to:
Your location is processed on your device and never sent to us. For the city name and the city search, the device passes the coordinates or the search term to the system's map service: on iPhone to Apple (Apple's privacy policy, https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/), on Android to the Android Geocoder, which usually contacts Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy). On Android, the position is obtained through Google Play services (fused location provider). You can revoke location access at any time in the iOS or Android settings; a manually picked place works without it.
If you enable notifications, Pray Buddy schedules local notifications on your device for prayer time reminders. These notifications are managed entirely by the operating system (iOS or Android) and do not involve any external server. On Android, reminders are rescheduled after a restart of the device.
Pray Buddy does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain ads.
On iPhone, and only if you pick a Diyanet district in the settings, the app fetches that district's prayer times from the third-party endpoint ezanvakti.emushaf.net. This transmits the district ID and, as with any request on the internet, your IP address. To determine the district's time zone and location, the iPhone passes the district name to Apple's map service. The Android version has no internet access at all.
Pray Buddy includes a Kids Mode for children aged 6-12. We do not collect any data from children; the same on-device processing and system services described above apply.
Since all data is stored on your device, you can delete all Pray Buddy data by uninstalling the app; copies in your device backup are removed through the system's backup settings. No server-side data exists to delete.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Since we do not store any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete. Questions: info@likafilm.com.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Need help with Pray Buddy? We're here for you.
Q: Why are my prayer times different from my mosque?
A: Prayer times vary by calculation method. Try switching to a different method in Settings (e.g., Diyanet/DITIB for Turkish mosques, Muslim World League for international).
Q: How do I change the app language?
A: Go to Settings → Appearance → Language. Choose from English, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish or French. Until you pick one, the app follows your device language if it is one of these.
Q: Is the Hijri date accurate?
A: Pray Buddy uses the Umm al-Qura calendar (Saudi standard). Dates may vary by ±1 day depending on your region's moon sighting authority.
Q: Does the app work offline?
A: Yes : prayer times via GPS, Qibla compass, Dhikr, Duas, and the Tracker all work without internet. Only Diyanet prayer times require a brief connection.
